Our next big event is the upcoming Night Bazaar: Renaissance on June 20th, 2024! Below are the exciting roles available for volunteers who wish to join us in making magic happen.

As a token of our gratitude, all volunteers will receive a free drink ticket to enjoy at the event.

Decor Prep: Stop in anytime between 2:00pm-5:00pm and help prepare decorations beforehand, using your creativity to transform the venue into an enchanting scene.

Set Up: You’ll bring the festival to life, transforming Broadway Square into a Renaissance wonderland.

FAQ

Where do we meet?

On the day of your shift, please arrive 5 minutes before your indicated start time. Once you find us, head to the information booth (white tent marked with the Red River Market logo) to get the equipment and direction you need to get started!

What do I wear?

Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that will support you. Please keep in mind that the market is often in direct sunlight for several hours and plan accordingly (sunscreen, hat, etc.)

What are the volunteer roles?

Set Up: Assist vendors with cart-in, set up chairs in seating area, set up sanitizing stations, put signs up.

Tear Down: Move chairs into storage, put away sanitizing stations, take down signage.

Can I bring my kids/friends?

Yes, you can! The more help, the merrier. Have them fill out the form as well - if all of the slots are full, email brenna@folkways.org and we will arrange to make it work!

How much physical work is it?

You can choose the level of physical activity based on the descriptions of each volunteer role. There are some that involve more walking/light lifting, and others that allow you to be stationary!

How do I cancel a shift?

To cancel a shift, please email brenna@folkways.org. Please try to do so as far in advance as possible. It is preferred that you find a replacement to fill your slot, but not required.
